| How are you similar to your Cinescope? It was too brief to start making judgment calls.. I'd have to read more about the dedicated idealist to know, as well as compare the differences from this one and the other titles. | ||||
| Your Favorite Movie Quote I don't know.. here's one I picked off a web page randomly that I liked: "I love everything about you that hurts...."[Later one] Youve ever seen a human heart? It looks like a fist, wrapped in blood!" -Larry, played by Clive Owen from Closer. In the movie, according to Natalie Portman who played Alice, "love becomes this weird excuse to hurt for doing a lot of hurtful things to other people." | ||||
| Your Favorite Director(s) I.. dont.. know.. enough.. about.. directors. Sadly, I never pay attention to who is directing the film. I'm overly focused, which means I am oblivious about what isn't on my radar.. My favorite director is NOT Woody Allen, although his biography was interesting and I think he's a cool person. | ||||
| Your Favorite Actor(s) Beatrice Dalle, Daniel Benzali, Busy Phillips, Leighton Meester, Nick Dahl, Gina Gershon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Elizabeth Moss, Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, A.J Langer in My-So-Called Life, Katie Holmes in Dawson's Creek. I like actors who take risks... Joey/Katie Holmes in Dawson's Creek was so great because she was multi-faceted. Daniel Benzali playing Ted Hoffman in "Murder One" (Season One) on the other hand.. well, he was always in character and did a great job but... you could predict how he would act in certain circumstances. That was how the character was written, I guess. But watching Ted Hoffman try to act sexual and kiss his wife, even though it was just a peck.. it was so awkward, it gave me the creeps. Some things didn't fit because you couldn't imagine this guy attracting a wife because of his lack of physical connection.. like he didn't notice he had a body. Anyway, I'm rambling. I guess it's subjective; they both did great acting jobs, I was just partial to Joey's character and all of her nuances... | ||||
| Worst Movie Ever Made Mulholland Drive.. (okay, there are much worse movies, but right now I | ||||
| What current movies do you recommend? "Blindness" looks interesting.. I read the book by José Saramago and it was incredible. Based on a review I read about Anne Hathaway's performance, "Rachel Getting Married" also looks like something I would like. | ||||
| Anything else you'd like to tell us about yourself? Although my list of movies looks pretty dark, I also really enjoy funny light-hearted romantic comedies and mainstream stuff.. Like I love the TV show Gossip Girl or Ugly Betty. I loved the movie "Mean Girls." I like to watch movies about high school and cliques.. However, I'm not sure how to classify my sense of humor.. And strangely, I don't ever cry at movies..That doesn't mean I don't cry in real life, though. I also don't get scared watching really freaky horror/mystery films unless there is a huge element of surprise, like something jumps out. And even that is something in my past.. I can't remember the last time something in a movie scared me. I read all of Jodi Picoult's books one by one.. and then read all of Lisa Gardner's books one by one. I have a propensity for devouring intensity in different forms.. | ||||
